We have been lucky enough to be part of these absolutely stunning markets 3 times so we thought it was about time they deserved a post on the blog.
Helen the organiser, founder and genius that is behind Cohen & Co interiors and their sister market company is an absolute gem and such an organised and kind person it's no wonder her markets are just beautiful and so popular with not only the customers but also the local small businesses who attend.
This year's Autumn market was held in the beautiful Tullyveery house. This gorgeous family owned Georgian house is complemented with a Victorian courtyard and mature private grounds. Not only was it the perfect location for such a gorgeous market but I can imagine the weddings held here are days to remember.
As always the nerves before such a prestigious and beautiful market almost got to me. The panic of packing the car in the morning (because I daren't leave stock overnight) and the hour long drive ahead to make sure I get there in plenty of time always gets me a little antsy in the lead up to it. But as soon as you arrive it all evaporates - if you do forget anything essential there is no doubt another trader that has something they can lend or will help with a solution. Helen and her team are so wonderfully organised and directed us to our spots super smoothly. The sun was out and everyone was so happy.
Once we set up all you lovely shoppers arrived bang on time. I had such a great day. So many lovely chats and an absolutely delicious lunch from the Gardeners Kitchen!
I was super lucky to be near some fabulous friends and new trader pals!
Special shout out to my trader neighbours
Considered organics - super soft organic cotton essentials. A beautiful core collection in this season's shades of Bordeaux and vintage sage. I love my beautiful black sweatshirt!
Porcelain - the most beautiful stoneware ceramics handmade by Lynne. Grey and blue swirls in ivory clay with a shiny glaze, I need one of everything please.
Em Weir - gorgeous artworks of landmarks not just locally but also places like Edinburgh and . I just adore Ems simple yet sophisticated line and shading style.
Dana Cosmetics - The most lovely organic skincare and make-up. I use their concealer and bio-retinol elixir daily. I need some of their gorgeous mineral powder foundation!
I could go on forever about all the gorgeous trader friends but there's not enough space!
And of course don't forget the food - the gardener's kitchen did not disappoint with spuds and scampi. Of course it wouldn't be a market day if we didn't get something sweet - Becca's Bakes delivered the sweet treats, obviously with a name like that you can't go wrong!
